Growth ultrasound
During this ultrasound, the ultrasound technician measures your baby’s head, abdominal circumference and upper leg bone on the monitor. This reveals whether your baby is growing according to expectations. This growth check can be done at the request of the midwife and can also be repeated if necessary. This is how a visual of the growth of your baby emerges: a growth curve. This ultrasound can be done from 22 weeks till 40 weeks, but is usually done between 28 to 36 weeks.
